The C-LTD TG-2 captures the unmistakable character of a premium studio preamp rooted in the sound of classic British recording consoles.

Built around a no-compromise analog design, its sound is defined by rich harmonic density, a solid and authoritative low end, and a distinctly forward midrange that can bring sources to life without losing their natural detail.

Both hardware channels were captured independently, allowing CH1 and CH2 to be used together for True Stereo processing while preserving the subtle analog differences between the two signal paths.

CH1 and CH2 were captured independently rather than duplicating a single channel across Left and Right. Pair the corresponding CH1 and CH2 profiles for True Stereo processing while retaining the subtle channel-to-channel differences of the original hardware.

Gain Staging Advice

Our captures are pre-calibrated at -18 dBFS input level.
For best results, we recommend feeding the plugin with an input signal close to -18 dBFS.

As with the original hardware, input level influences the amount of harmonic density and analog coloration. Lower levels retain a more open and controlled response, while hotter signals bring out greater weight, saturation, and the distinctive forward character of the preamp.

Experiment with input level to find the balance between transparency and coloration that best suits your source.
