A-PI 1608 Console Channel & Mix Bus Profiles for NAM
Capture the punch, depth, and unmistakable analog character of a large-format studio console.
“I love it!”
$34.99
Console punch. Analog depth. Mix bus cohesion.
The A-PI 1608 captures the character of a classic large-format analog console, covering both individual channel processing and the stereo mix bus for a more complete console workflow.
From clean, open console tone to increasingly driven and harmonically dense character, the collection preserves the punch, weight, clarity, and forward analog energy associated with this style of console circuitry.
Both the channel path and stereo mix bus were captured at three gain levels — Soft, Base, and Pushed — with independent left/right or channel captures for True Stereo operation.

The CH1/CH2 profiles form channel-path pairs, while MIX L/MIX R capture the left and right sides of the stereo mix bus. Load each pair into a True Stereo-capable NAM host such as TSC Rack 2 to preserve the independent character of both signal paths.
Sound Characteristics
- Punchy, forward console character with strong transient definition
- Solid low-mid weight without sacrificing clarity and openness
- Progressively richer harmonic density as the gain level is increased
- Distinct channel and stereo mix bus coloration for different stages of a mix
- From subtle analog depth to assertive, driven console energy
Why This Capture Is Different
- Captures both the individual console channel path and the stereo mix bus rather than a single signal path
- Three gain levels — Soft, Base, and Pushed — provide distinct degrees of console coloration
- Independent CH1/CH2 and MIX L/MIX R captures are ready for True Stereo operation
- 12 profiles allow the console character to be used across individual tracks, subgroups, or the full mix

Gain Staging Advice
Our captures are pre-calibrated at -18 dBFS input level.
For best results, we recommend feeding the plugin with an input signal close to -18 dBFS.
The three gain levels represent progressively stronger operating states of the captured console paths. Soft provides the most open and restrained character, Base delivers the core console tone with a balanced combination of punch and harmonic weight, while Pushed emphasizes the denser and more assertive side of the hardware.
Once loaded, the NAM model remains level-dependent: driving the profile harder can increase the perceived saturation and density, while reducing the input level produces a cleaner and more restrained response. Use the profile’s gain state as the starting character, then fine-tune the level feeding the model to suit the source.

I love it! I have many field recordings of drums and rare instruments and such, couldn’t take a console with me and these channels helped restore what was missing. Truly Blessed!

You guys have yet to miss. Sounds phenomenal and really opens up the mix.
